Noor Ahmed L.M.S.W

I am a South Asian New Yorker with a deep commitment to mental health care that is compassionate, practical, and rooted in real-life experience. As a clinician, I believe therapy can be a space to explore the weight we carry-whether that comes from trauma, loss, cultural expectations, or simply the demands of everyday life. I approach my work with warmth, curiosity, and a strong belief in people’s ability to heal and grow.

My practice is grounded in trauma-informed care, and I draw from cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness, and strength-based approaches. I’ve worked with clients navigating depression, anxiety, PTSD, chronic stress, eating disorders, trauma, and identity-related challenges. My clinical lens is shaped by both my cultural background and my training in medical and psychiatric settings, where I’ve supported people facing significant life transitions and health crises.

Whether you’re seeking therapy for the first time or returning to it, my goal is to create a space that’s affirming, collaborative, and focused on what healing looks like for you. This work isn’t about fixing what’s “wrong”—it’s about understanding your story and helping you write the next chapter with intention and care.
